This patent, assigned to Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, covers a composition that contains retinol; a dermatologically active acid selected from lactic acid, glycolic acid, malic acid, tartaric acid, pyruvic acid, citric acid, salicylic acid, and ascorbic acid; and 2-dimethylaminoethanol. It has a pH of 5-6 and the retinol and acid are stable and active upon application to the skin....
